We and the other Main Street Merchants certainly appreciate the continued support of our customers. Construction doesn't help with convenience but if you follow a few suggestions for getting here, it's not quite as bad as it looks.
1. Avoid rush hour.
2. The heaviest congestion is at the beginning where routes 2, 273, and 72 converge. Learn the shortcuts to avoid that and you're one up on everyone else:
●From the South: North on S. College>Right on E. Park Place<Left on Chapel>Right on DE Avenue<Left on Tyre Ave.<Left on E. Main St.
OR (from north 72)<Left on Wyoming>Right on Chapel>Right on DE Avenue<Left on Tyre Ave.<Left on E. Main St.
●From the East: (from Rt.2 Kirkwood Hwy): >Right on Cleveland Avenue <Left on Chapel Street <Left into back entrance of Newark Shopping Center, work your way across the parking lot and >Right on E. Main Street.
OR (from Route 273)<Left on 72 south>Right on Wyoming Ave.>Right on Chapel St.>Right on DE Avenue<Left on Tyre Ave.<Left on E. Main St.
●From the North: (from Paper Mill Rd. which becomes Chapel St) <Left into back entrance of Newark Shopping Center, work your way across the parking lot and >Right on E. Main Street.
●From the West: (DE Avenue)<Left on Tyre Ave.<Left on E. Main Street.
*Once Pomeroy Lane reopens at the DART bus depot Tyre will close and the bypasses will actually become a bit shorter.
